A Effective Release Cycle Management which Meets Business Needs
With the system integration completed for the merged entities of Bupa Australia and MBF it was imperative to address critical processes to effectively manage the technology changes in a larger business environment.
The environment was also becoming a much more highly integrated environment through the increased use of digital channels such as the Web, mobile channels, other digital applications, etc. to deliver customer functionality.
The business was transforming from a business trading in normal business hours to one trading 24 hours per day 7 days a week.
As a result of the drive to effectively manage quality and the impact of change to the business the Release Cycle Management process was revamped through the introduction (for example) of a planned release schedule/calendar, the integration of the release schedule with Bupa’s change control process and a committed approval process for changes with a measurable degree of success through system availability measurements.
