Focus Areas

We address what matters most

The CIO Network targets CIOs and their direct reports. We concentrate on the key issues facing these people in four focus areas:

• Applications
• Architecture
• Infrastructure
• Programme Management Office (PMO)
• IT Lifecycle
• IT Leadership

Within these areas, we address a wide range of topics from the Cloud to Agile vs. Waterfall, to Benefits Realisation – our members drive the agenda, and let us know what matters to them most. Our sessions concentrate on the specific impact of challenges in diverse areas on people working in those particular areas.

We organise our Members into communities of practice

Member organisations can join one or more of the Focus Areas. , which entitles them to attend all of the events in their chosen ones. As well as round table discussion sessions, members can go on ‘dates’ to address more specific issues with another organisation that has recent experience of it. The diversity of our members, from utilities to banking to the public sector, ensures a diversity of solutions to both common and unusual challenges.
