Are you a IT Manager or IT business development executive who has recently taken a voluntary pay out? Or do you have existing consulting practice and have time to devote to another venture? Do you enjoy creating new and maintaining existing relationships? The CIO Network is a forum that helps IT executives share best practice through round table discussions and 1-1 peer discussion.

As part of our growth strategy we are looking to introduce several focus groups (e.g. Architecture, IT Security, PMO etc) within the CIO Network, with the Director taking full responsibility for growing and maintaining these focus groups in their respective city. The Director will be responsible for a profit center in their city and will have full responsibility for new memberships of focus groups, facilitation of round tables and creation of round table notes under the CIO Network banner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Jointly researching relevant topics and speakers for round tables thereby creating agenda for focus groups for the year.

• Leverage existing CIO Network and personal contacts to bring in new members to join focus groups.

• Member relationship management with "finger on the pulse" to keep abreast of best practices and challenges faced by members.

• Facilitation of focus group round tables with comprehensive notes of the session taken for distribution to members

• Strategic and highly entrepreneurial

• Initial focus on sales to create core group of members followed by account management.

• Keeping updated on challenges faced by our members and industry best practices to ensure the CIO Network is the premier resource of practical information for IT executives.

• Encourage sharing of best practices amongst members.

• Showcase trends and research to the IT industry at conferences and to media, where possible.

Qualities & Skills Required:

    • Degree qualified with experience in corporate IT, IT vendor, research or journalism.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Highly entrepreneurial style with flair for new business development.

    • High degree of interest in business issues, industry trends.

    Senior IT executives who have existing consulting practices are also encouraged to apply. The CIO Network will provide all admin and sales support, including a comprehensive database. Existing members will be leveraged to create core focus group members.
