– Understand how is the organisation delivering projects today. The organisation is delivering projects so someone is filling the GAP, but who. Is it the PM? Maybe / Maybe Not, but the real question is do we want them spending time working through detail or should they be working on the project organisation and governance
– Understand how projects will be measured
– Document activities which allow projects to be successful (ie requirements, design docs)
– Develop an understanding of the organisations operating environment (is the organisation culturally diverse, operate in different time zones, speak different languages).
